STUDENT SERVICES: TRANSFER/WITHDRAWAL POLICY

 

Deemed Withdrawal:
A student who transfers from the Course to another course with WBS, for refund purposes, be deemed to have withdrawn from the Course and the provisions of the Refund Policy shall apply save as otherwise agreed between WBS and the Student.

Transfer Policy:
Students are allowed to transfer to another school of his/her choice. Students are required to get the Student Pass transfer form from the new school filled and hand it over to their course consultant for endorsement and signature. In addition, students are to fill in a “WBS Cancellation of a Student Pass Form” to be submitted to the school for administration purposes, which can be obtained from the school reception.

Cancellation of Student Pass:
Students who wish to cancel their student pass are required to obtain an “ ICA Cancellation of a Student Pass Form” from the School Reception, to be given to ICA together with the Student Pass to be surrendered. In addition, students are to fill in a “WBS Cancellation of a Student Pass Form” to be submitted to the school for administration purposes, which can be obtained from the school reception.

Refund of ICA Security Deposit:
Students having the school as sponsor need to fill in the “Authorization for Collection of Refund Form ” for refund prior to leaving Singapore. 100% of Security Deposit fees will be refunded less Bank Administrative Fees.

Important Notes to Student Pass Holders:

* All students are strongly advised to observe punctuality. Disciplinary action will be taken against those who are late for lectures.

* Students who are more than 15minutes late for class or leave 15minutes earlier before the class end, are marked as absent for that particular day. (Unless you have a “Leave Application Form” that has been approved by the Principal, which can be obtained from the school reception.)

* According to the Immigration Act (Chapter 133), Regulation 21 – Security Bond; students must not be absent for a continuous period of seven days, that the percentage of attendance for the course in any of the month is 90% or below, otherwise, students shall have to surrender the Student Pass for cancellation. ICA has the right to terminate the student pass due to poor attendances.

* If a student is unable to attend classes due to unforeseen circumstances, he/she must inform the School within 48 hours after class. For medical reasons, the School accepts medical certification for absence from a registered medical practitioner. The medical certificate (MC) produced must be dated on the day of class. It should also contain the doctor’s certification that the student is unfit to attend class. The MC is to be sent by post or personally to the school on his/her return to school.
